Calling All Teachers! Artist Boat’s We Back the Bay Program Now Taking Submissions

Thanks to a grant from The Environmental Protection Agency, Artist Boat is excited to offer the new We Back the Bay program starting in the fall of 2018! The  program will build awareness of the causes and consequences of poor water quality in Galveston Bay, develop critical thinking skills necessary to mitigate pollution of the Bay, and create action to increase water conservation and reduce storm run-off from school campuses.

Five school from the counties surrounding Galveston Bay will be chosen to participate in the program which will include Professional Development for teachers, Artist Boat’s Eco-Art Workshop and Adventure, and the development of a WaterSmart Landscape on the chosen campuses. Program Participants will be chosen based on an application submitted by the participating teachers. Applications are due to Artist Boat by 5:00pm on March 19th, 2018.
