Artist Boat offers two-hour Eco-Art Workshops to students before Eco-Art Adventures. The workshops are interactive and include: Educational hands-on activities based on benefits, multiple uses, non-point-source pollution, flora and fauna, and historical perspectives of the Galveston Bay system and the Gulf of Mexico, and a watercolor painting lesson.
Artist Boat offers exciting hands-on field trip opportunities to student groups upon completion of workshops. While exploring Galveston Bay's tranquil habitats, students make their own watercolor painting to reflect creatively the immense beauty, wonder and diversity of life contained in coastal margins.
Adventure activities include paddling lessons, birding, watercolor painting, studying and observing local ecology, and expanded science activities for walking and vessel based programs.
