Cassidy McDonald joined Artist Boat in February of 2020. She has always loved animals and the environment, but growing up near the Texas Gulf Coast inspired her interest in Marine Biology. She received her Bachelor’s in Marine Biology from Texas A&M University at Galveston in 2016. Since then, she has used her passion for conservation to teach thousands of people about the environment at various zoos and aquariums in Texas, Utah and Alaska.
Cassidy grew up doing community theatre in her small hometown. She recognizes that art of all kinds brings people together. The appreciation of nature is the first step in wanting to protect nature. Using a combination of art and science is a fun way to inspire conservation action!
Cassidy believes a love of learning is an important part of being a dedicated educator, so she spends her spare time reading, volunteering, and watching documentaries. She also enjoys rollerblading and spending time with her two cats, Batman and Bowie.
