Delaney McRitchie

Delaney McRitchie started working for Artist Boat in November 2020. In May of 2020, she graduated from Denison University with a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies and Studio Art. At Denison, Delaney was the Art Coordinator for a student-led science journal called The Synapse and she also served as an Environmental Studies Fellow. Originally from Cleveland, Delaney has spent a lot of time kayaking and paddleboarding on Lake Erie and other rivers and lakes in Northeast Ohio.

She spent the summer of 2018 as a Community Outreach Intern in Cuyahoga Valley National Park, where she helped lead hiking, biking, and fishing events for local community groups. Delaney has also worked on several sustainable farms including a flower farm, a pig farm, and a corn farm. These experiences have fed into her art practice, which centers around interactions between people and the environment. She is very excited to have the opportunity to blend her passion for the arts, with her love for the environment in this beautiful coastal region!

Outside of working at Artist Boat, Delaney can be found hiking, paddleboarding, exploring local coffee shops, painting, and cooking. She is so excited to live in a warmer climate and to have the opportunity to enjoy Galveston.
