Lydia moved to Galveston in the fall of 2019 to attend Texas A&M University at Galveston, where she subsequently earned her Master of Science in Marine Biology. Prior to living in Texas, Lydia obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Zoology at the University of Vermont. After graduating, Lydia moved back to her hometown of Boston, where she worked at the New England Aquarium in the Rescue and Rehabilitation Department as a sea turtle clinician. For five years, Lydia assisted in the rehabilitation of thousands of cold stunned sea turtles, before releasing them back into the wild along the eastern coast of the Atlantic.
Since moving to Texas, Lydia is enjoying the much warmer weather, spending time at the beach, hiking and camping, and hanging out with her dogs Hunter and Lola.
