Anthony Soliz-Rocha

Anthony was born in Corpus Christi, Texas, but spent his childhood in many different places while his dad served in the Army. As a child, he joined the Scouts where he developed a love for the outdoors, became a lifeguard, hiked Philmont Scout Ranch, and achieved the rank of Eagle Scout.

Anthony earned his bachelor of the arts in theology at Franciscan University in Steubenville, Ohio. There he fell in love with acting and worked on many productions with the theatre program. Anthony’s love of the arts is not limited to theatre but encompasses all creative avenues of expressing self.  He enjoys an eclectic variety of music, film and paintings.

Drawn to the water, Anthony has worked in Aquatics as a lifeguard, swim instructor, and aquatics director.  He loves spending time at the beach, swimming and kayaking.

Anthony moved to Galveston in 2019 and joined Artist Boat in March 2023. Artist Boat’s mission lined up with his personal mission to protect nature and wildlife. He is excited to bring his experience and passion to help preserve the Texas coastal environment.
