Matt Singer works for the Galveston Bay Foundation and resides in Seabrook, Texas with his wife Lorrie. His work is focused on land protection, property management, and habitat restoration within the Galveston Bay watershed. Following graduation from Texas A&M University in 2005, Matt spent almost 5 years in Florida as a wildlife biologist before moving home to Texas. He has helped Galveston Bay Foundation become an Accredited Land Trust, permanently conserved nearly 5,000 acres and counting, and restored hundreds of acres of wetland and upland habitats surrounding Galveston Bay.
His love of the natural environment is driven by a passion for fishing and hunting. Most free time is spent fishing in the Texas bay systems or hunting in the marshes of the mid and upper coast. Other interests include paddling, birding, and following a wide range of professional and collegiate sports.
Matt joined the Board of Directors in 2016 and hopes to contribute his expertise toward growing and managing the Coastal Heritage Preserve on Galveston Island and various aspects of Artist Boat’s new land conservation initiatives.
