Kayak Galveston Bay

Kayak the Coastal Heritage Preserve with your family!

Students of Galveston’s schools, 6th grade and up* are invited to explore Galveston’s Bay and its estuaries, free of charge.

During the kayak adventure, we will explore the coastal wetland ecosystem and learn kayaking skills, explore native flora and fauna, and engage in hands-on activities that highlight the importance of wetlands ecosystems and its role in climate science. Your adventure lasts for 3 hours and includes stops for watercolor demonstration and painting.

Families are allowed 6 people per Kayak adventure and may bring younger siblings, ages 7 and up, as long as your family group includes at least 1 student that was enrolled in Galveston’s Middle or High School. Each student MUST be accompanied by an adult (Do you have 3 students? You must then have 3 adults!)

Please follow all steps below to assure you’re good to go!
