This year’s Float the Boat has a whole new flav!
Make sure to mark your calendar because this dinner weekend will sell out fast.
Each evening, Artist Boat will host 180 guests under a tent on the newly acquired 141 acres of land at the Artist Boat Peninsula on the east side of the Coastal Heritage Preserve.

Both evenings include a fabulous plated gourmet meal overlooking the water while watching the bay sunset and enjoying a curated menu of beer and wine, TWO live auctions one from each of the evening’s plein air painters, raffle tickets, and an online auction.

Dr. Jack E. Davis
2018 Pulitzer Prize Winner
Professor of History
at University of Florida
Rothman Family Chair in Humanities
Professor Davis is a renowned author and editor of ten books, including his recent book, The Gulf: The Making of an American Sea. He will share the importance of the Galveston ecosystem, his life growing up on the water, and how it influenced his writing and career.
A Book Signing will take place at Rosenberg Library
