Did you know you can join Artist Boat in the pursuit of saving land on West Galveston Island, stewarding the future with nature and art education for children, and protecting natural beauty and places that offer wonder? Help us Save the Precious by making a gift of $10 or more. This will enable us to pursue one of the most precious things in this world: saving homes for wildlife and providing wilds for children to explore!

Over the last 20+ years, Artist Boat has pursued its dual mission of land conservation and nature education with passion, grit, and sheer determination. Would you please consider joining us?

Between now and December 2026, our goal is to add another 204 acres to our 1,039 acre Coastal Heritage Preserve on West Galveston Island and save 3-miles of the last remaining interior coastal prairie habitats, freshwater wetlands, and saltmarsh sloughs still connected to the Galveston Bay.

Between now and August 2025, we are also committed to bringing 6,000+ students and lifelong learners to the wetlands and prairies of the Coastal Heritage Preserve. Annually, we serve 18,000 participants that complete beautification projects on their campuses of nativescapes and public artworks, hundreds of environmental actions that improve our environment, restoration of coastal prairies and dunes, and explore our wilds as artists and biologists. This year 100+ teachers and their classes will receive nationally recognized experiential learning for free, funded by the National Academy of Science Gulf Research Program.

Between now and December 2026, we are resolved to engage one million $10 donors in our signature “Be One In A Million” fundraising campaign to secure the remaining 350+ acres on West Galveston Island to complete the Coastal Heritage Preserve, bringing it to 1,400 acres.

Will you please consider becoming a donor? We need to continue protecting defenseless lands and leaving a legacy for all ages of learners to become connected to nature! We can save so much with your gift! Help us save the wildlife and wild places of the Texas Gulf Coast and inspire young Texans to care for them in the future.
